Super Central in the Hearth of Oslo

Appartment at walking distance from the center but poor beds and poor hygiene Positive: Distance to city center, a relatively quite area, shower gives decent hot water, WiFi, the color on the wall gives the apt some atmosphere Negative: We were dissapointed. We've had way better for less money. The pictures on Booking.com seem to be from the day this location opened. It looks way outdated now and a lot of the decoration shown and e.g. the fan is not there. The apt was smaller than it looked on the pictures. With more than two the apt would feel cramped. Since a lot of things have been mentioned before by other guests, but haven't been resolved meanwhile, I'm mentioning them again. Stains on the sofa bed, sofa bed is blocking the front door (high safety risk!), the metal of the sofa bed is hurting your back and the matress isn't flat, I found a candy from a previous guest when I unfolded the bed. The matress of the normal bed is sagged and extremely soft. My friend hasn't slept all night. The wall socket in the living room is loose and the standing table lamp is broken. The light switches in the kitchen seem to be unconnected. The doors of the shower cabin don't close well, the tile joints are more yellow/brown than white and the floor was dusty. There was no shampoo although we asked for it upfront (just dry shampoo). The lamp in the bathroom is partly broken. The kettle is dripping and the hand soap dispenser in the kitchen doesn't work. The appartment's entry and back part (left from and around the bridge) seems to attract vague men, including drug users and men that needed to pee. It didn't feel safe, especially at night. We carefully checked if the door to the hall way was closed to prevent them from coming in. The view from the apt is just a brick wall. The heavy rain at night kept us awake as it was dripping on the metal windowsill outside which made a lot of noise.

Homey accommodation in the heart of Oslo Positive: Great location near the tram stop and a nice walk along the river. Quiet, clean, well equipped for a few days stay and cooking food, if needed. Great communication with the host- clear check-in instructions and other info, very responsive to messages. Negative: We found a few things that needed a hand- like squeaking bathroom door- a bit annoying at night. Also the electric socket in the living room needs mending. But it didn't affect our experience.

Fine place for a couple or a solo stay, as long as you only use the bed in the bedroom Positive: Great location and a friendly host. If I were staying alone or with a girlfriend and hadn't used the sofa at the entrance, the rating would have been higher Negative: If you are staying as 2 persons and need separate beds, this apartment might not be the best choice. Sleeping on the sofa by the entrance is very uncomfortable (when folded, it’s too small and you have to tuck your legs in; when unfolded, it's even worse as the frame presses into your ribs). Additionally, the sofa was dirty with many stains of unknown origin, and the "cherry on top" was finding someone else's hair. The stains and hair were present both on the outside and inside once unfolded. This was very upsetting, as it shows a blatant lack of proper cleaning. The host offered a full refund if we left, but since it was late at night and we were exhausted, we didn't want to start looking for another place. We also couldn't use the large TV because it wasn't connected to the internet and wouldn't even connect to the Wi-Fi
