2BR Apt w Balcony by Oslo S & Munch

Beautiful apartment in a stunning setting. Positive: The location was perfect - only a 10 min walk from station but within minutes of a range of good restaurants and cafes on the harbour/fjord, the centre, and minutes from the stunning Opera House, Munch Museum and Library. We didn't use them but there are community saunas also just a couple of minutes away - they looked beautiful. The accommodation was excellent - comfy sofas, gorgous double aspect views, light and bright and modern. It was well equipped and there was some staple food things like cooking oil, salt, pepper etc., which was a bonus (although we'd bought our own as hadn't realised it would be there!). Negative: One double room was spacious, bright and with a massive wardrobe. The second room was described as a twin - but it was two mattresses on a double base and the bed is edge to edge with the walls so they could not even be separated a bit. As there were four friends (none couples) this didn't work ideally - we used the sofa bed, but still only 3 separate sleeping areas. The accommodation wasn't completely clean in a few places. For example, we moved the sofa to face the window for the view one day and it had piles of stuff underneath it. An ornament was sadly sitting on the windowsill broken & we were hoping we didn't get blamed for that! The kitchen area needed a better clean; but if you don't mind giving the place a quick wipe down it's a really lovely apartment. Note that when collecting the keys, the exit to the road is not marked within the station - we were searching for the exit that opened onto the appropriate road and even asked one of the staff in the station and they could not seem to help as to how we could exit to that road (odd, as it's a major road we discovered). So just be aware in advance and check on a map so you can get out of the right exit point for the shortest route as it makes a difference if you have heavy bags. Whilst not at all a permanent thing and not something apartment owners are in control of, when we were there the foot bridge to the area where the apartment was, was closed with barriers. It would be a long route around. Locals were jumping over the barrier....

Genial Positive: Nos encantó alojarnos en este apartamento, muy bonito y la ubicación excelente!! Estaba todo limpio y bien organizado, el anfitrión muy atento con todo, incluso nos dejó cápsulas de café y todo tipo de útiles en la cocina. Sin duda lo recomiendo Negative: Quizá el sofá cama, no era muy cómodo.

Lovely comfortable apartment for our week in Oslo. Positive: Lovely comfortable apartment in a good location. Had everything we needed for a great week in Oslo. The host had left a few essentials in the kitchen and there was plenty of dishwasher and laundry detergent. Negative: A 10-15 min walk to public transport options. Fine in the morning, not so fine on the way home. Next time I will choose an apartment a little closer in.
